Our nursing staff is dedicated to providing exceptional care to every patient we see. They partner with our doctors and our clients in order to achieve comprehensive plans that ensure thorough care for our patients. Our nursing staff also attends in-house and off-site continuing education. These seminars and classes strengthen and develop their knowledge in many areas of medicine and preventative care. We believe that continual education provides our staff with the expertise to offer superior care to our patients. We are dedicated to that goal and to helping each and every pet we see.
Cami is the Practice Manager at Ashburn Veterinary Hospital and has been with AVH since 2007. She also manages our sister hospital, Fancy Paws Cat Clinic. Cami handles the hospital operations and staff management and lovesthe opportunity to meet clients and especially patients. Cami is passionate about the veterinary field because it provides the opportunity to truly connect with people and their pets and make a difference. Cami is a certified veterinary practice manager and a member of the VeterinaryHospital Manager's Association.
MelissaClient Service Staff
Melissa has worked at our hospital for 11 years and is our Staff Team Leader. As a little girl, she knew she wanted to work with animals and even wanted to become a veterinarian. Melissa found her passion in client services and loves building personal relationships with our clients. She knows most of our clients and patients by name and is always ready to greet you with a smile. Melissa is married with two children and one dog, a Treeing Walker Coon Hound.
LeahClient Service Staff
Leah has been an incredible addition to our Client Service Staff! She is eager to learn and loves meeting our clients and their pets. In her free time she loves to go hiking and fishing with her boyfriend and dog, Jacey. She also loves to relax at home watching the Food Network, HGTV and The Washington Nationals. Her cats, Kerrigan & Phoebe are always close by with lots of snuggles and love.
MindyClient Service Staff
Mindy has lived in Ashburn since she was a child and loves meeting the pet owners in this area. She has two cats, Luna & Tig, that give some of the best cuddles around. In her free time, you’ll find her eating Mexican food with her boyfriend and spending time outdoors with friends and family. Mindy truly loves getting to know all of our clients and their pets.
BrittanyClient Service Staff
Brittany has joined the team at Ashburn Vet as a Client Service Representative. She has always had a passion for animals and is excited to learn and grow within the field. Brittany grew up in Pennsylvania and loves spending time with her family, especially her three siblings and two nephews. When she is not spending quality time with her boyfriend, you'll find her hiking, watching baseball games, watching the Food Network or HGTV. She can't wait to get to know our clients and their pets and hopes for pets of her own in the near future.
Kyla has been with Ashburn Veterinary Hospital for over 11 years. Her love for animals is evident by watching her with any patient. She has a gift with animals and they respond in kind. She has an extensive knowledge of diseases as well as impressive technical skills from her many years in veterinary medicine. In her free time, Kyla loves to go camping with her constant companion, Boon, a terrier mix.
Megan has been a part of our team since 2012. She started as a client service representative and transferred to our nursing staff to obtain further training. Megan is always eager to learn and loves to educate herself about all aspects of veterinary medicine. She is also a relief vet tech for the WV Racing Commission and works with the racehorses in Charles Town. She loves music, the outdoors, camping and canoeing. Megan enjoys spending time with her two pitbulls, Hercules and Bella and her two black cats, Tipsy Kitan and Tweedle.
Kayla has always had a passion for animals. She received her Business Administration degree in 2012 from Shenandoah University but always knew that her career path would lead her back to animals. She is thrilled to be working as a nursing assistant in the veterinary field and cherishes the moments spent with our adorable patients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family including her dog and cat. When it’s time to relax; Kayla loves to hike, read and knit!
Katie has been part of our team for many years and started out working as a Client Service Representative. She always had a passion for building lasting relationships with our clients and patients. Katie is our Marketing & Social Media Director and loves coming up with new ways to interact with our clients through social media. Katie is married and shares her home with her lovable hound dog and four cats. She spends her free time hiking, cooking and exploring the outdoors.
